I have a diploma in Integrative Psychosynthesis counselling and a diploma in psychotherapy from the training centre Re-Vision, which is a member organisation of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am a member of the BACP and subscribe to its code of ethics. I am also registered with the UKCP, the main psychotherapy membership association.
How I work
I aim to explore with you the issues that have brought you to counselling, so that you are better able to deal with these parts of your life. My role is not to tell you what you should be doing or 'fix' you, but to help you gain the confidence and self-awareness to make the decisions you need to make.
I see counselling and therapy as a shared journey between counsellor and client. Many people come to counselling and therapy half expecting the counsellor to wave a magic wand and get rid of their problems. But genuine change takes time and is a process that unfolds in a gradual way.
I offer empathy, a desire to genuinely understand you and a different perspective on the issues you are struggling with. I can also be challenging, in a supportive way, if that feels necessary for your personal growth.
